Meaghan grew up in Nerang and has served as the Member for Gaven since 2017. 

Meaghan is currently the Shadow Attorney General, Shadow Minister for Justice, Shadow Minister for Housing, Homelessness and Home Ownership. Before entering politics Meaghan worked as a solicitor where her passion for fairness and justice started.

Meaghan was the Minister for Housing, Minister for Planning and Local Government and Minister for Public Works.

She has also served as Minister for the Environment and Great Barrier Reef and Minister for Science and Youth Affairs as well as Assistant Minister for Tourism Industry Development.
